My sister just had a baby 8 months ago and had it. They indues her a week early. Baby was healthy and a good size.
I had the condition but I did not need medication to control it. I watched my diet. I did lots of walking. I had a normal vaginal birth.
Thanks ladies for all your help
I have gestational diabetes and I also see a endocrinologist I take insulin shots daily 3 shots a day I am on a low carb diet and I am 37 weeks and 6 days pregnant my doctor is delivering me next week at 38 weeks due to the diabetes I am being induced
If you use FB join the gestational diabetes group. Great support system.
I had it. Had to check sugar and follow a diet. Doctor said they wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks if I hadn't gone into labor yet on my own. Turns out I needed an emergency c-section at 37 weeks for something unrelated (got Hello syndrome). Challenge is baby size. If they get to big may have a rough deliver which could lead to c-section. Go with your gut. Don't induce if it doesn't feel right. You will know if something feels wrong.
I've had it with my first pregnancy and this one also. I had to go to a dietitian and track sugar levels at home. I had a normal vaginal birth.
I get it every pregnancy. Are you seeing an endo because of GD? That confuses me. And no, I did not have a scheduled c section because of it. My doc gave me a script for a glucomitor and supplies and I had to keep a low sugar/carb diet and test my sugar after every meal. In the end I was put in metformin as my diabetes could be diet controlled anymore
