Am I miscarrying again?

Hi there, I am 41 and am 6 weeks pregnant. My breasts were sore from day 1 but have suddenly returned to normal. I have a very faint brown stain when I wipe but no cramps. I have had 2 miscarriages in the past year, bit times at 6 weeks. So I am petrified its happening again. I have 2 healthy daughters, but they are in their 20's.

Am I miscarrying again? I don't want to go the docs, as last time they just said nothing they could do "just let it happen".

Thanks for your support, I'm still seeing a very slight brown stain when I wipe. I will phone my doc tomorrow, I'm in the UK and 1st scan is not normally until 12 weeks.

On my last pregnancy I did have an internal scan at the early pregnancy unit, I don't want one of these again as I believe they can induce miscarriage. No evidence, but I'm not prepared to risk it. I will ask doc to do blood tests though.

Thanks again, I will keep you updated - good luck to all xx

I'm 37 years old and 9+ weeks pregnant after having Tubal Ligation surgery 7 years ago.  It's a miracle, but I've had my challenges with this one.  I'm walking in Faith and not by sight with the Lord hoping for the best.  May God BlessYou!

I understand your fear.  I have also had multiple miscarriages and I know next time I will be petrified at every single sign or lack of.  Pregnancy symptoms come and go.  Some women will experience them really badly, some mildly just for a short time and some not at all.  Also, brown staining is not really anything to worry about.  Even if it turns red its not always a bad sign.  I can't even tell you the number of women on this forum who have bled quite heavily and had all turn out well.  Also, your odds of carrying this one are good as well.  I have had 2 m/c that ended in D&C and 2 that were chemical pregnancies (although in my heart that is still a miscarriage) and my OB has assured me that it really has very little bearing on whether or not I will lose the next one.

That being said, any bleeding, or your pregnancy symptoms just dissapearing should be reported to your Dr.  He can run bloodwork and an ultrasound that will go a very long way in putting your mind at ease.

All the best of luck to you!!!

Brown is good becouse it is oldd blood  it could be just from the the attatchment of the enbyro.  When is your 1st sono have they checked your progestarone levels and HCG levels?  If these are going up it is a good sign.  It is funny my breast do not hurt as much either and i am just getting into my 6 week  I went to the expert form and asked a ? 22.00$ for it  and she said some symtons dont really kick in till 7 wks  Also a sono will show you and put your mind at ease to see the baby well the gestational sac and yolk sac pending on when you get it done perhaps a fetal pole and heart beat.  Your Dr should do this for YOUR PEACE of MIND!! good Luck and keep me posted!
