Now it's time to heal

Well I had the procedure done at 1pm today and was home by 4pm.  Still feeling woozy from the morphine and that's helping block out the emotional pain for now.  Cramping is down to a dull ache and not too much bleeding.  The staff were fantastic, such a lovely group of men and women.  When I arrived this morning I was told there were no beds and i may have to wait until evening or even tomorrow.  The Consultant said no way could I be made to wait as I'd already had to wait all weekend and bless him he slotted me in between two other ops.  So this week I'm going to be gentle on myself, give my body a chance to heal and begin the emotional healing.  My husband has been my rock and our children have shown what caring and lovely individuals they are.  I am planning on writing an article on my experience.  I had never heard of a missed miscarriage until it happened to me, nor had I been aware of how deeply emotionally painful it could be.  I hope that by producing an article (i'm a freelance writer when I have time!) I can bring more awareness not just for mmc but for all types of miscarriage.

Hi,
I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope your heart heals soon.  I think your plan to write an article will be great - for those who have been through any type of m/c and to help others understand what we go through.  It helped me alot to find the MedHelp Miscarriage forum - here people were talking about their personal experiences and no matter what type of loss - the pain is the same.  I found alot of comfort sharing my feelings with total strangers but, who truly understood me.  I think that your article will help "outsiders" get an insight on what goes on in our hearts and I hope it helps you with your healing process.  Again, so sorry for your loss.  My thoughts are with you.
