there are prenatals they can give you that also have stool softeners In them. I started taking prenatals at 6 weeks.
Here we are adviced to take vitamins even before you are actually pregnant. I didn't planned this pregnancy so I started as soon as I knew I'm pregnant (5weeks). Especially vitamin B11 is really important. Iron extra only when your bloodlevels say you have to little.
Oh and vitamin D. Here we have something called floradix for extra iron.
Some doctors do prescribe prescription prenatal vitamins when Trying to conceive and some do once you find you are pregnant. There isn't too much difference between over the counter and prescription. But they are good to take. I never was prescribed iron supplements. That is, as mentioned, only done usually if someone has low iron as getting too much iron is also not good. Did you have anemia?
My doctor gave me the iron pills at 13 months and prenatals when i went in but its best to take them as soon as you know you are pregnant.
Prenatal they usually give at your first visit not sure about iron pills & have you tried drinking apple juice to help you go to the bathroom apple juice usually makes me go bad lol..
Iron pills should NOT be taken unless a doctor tells you too. Doctors typically check iron levels before recommending iron supplements. Too much iron during pregnancy which can happen with supplements can cause toxicity!! Most women get enough iron from their diet or what is in a regular supplement. good luck
