Pregnant with lots of questions

I am 19, I recently found out that I am pregnant. I have always had irregular periods, but I know for a fact that I concieved in January. I went to the Dr. on February 17 and had an internal ultrasound done, alls that was visible was a small dot. I was not given a due date or told how far along I was, he told me that I was too early to determine. The Dr decided to wait on all of my blood tests and asked me to come back in two weeks for another internal ultrasound. Two weeks later (March 3) my fiance and I went back for another internal ultrasound and it was very clear that the dot had gotten a lot bigger in size, but I still was not given a due date or told how far I was, once again the Dr asked me to return in two more weeks and held off on all blood tests. I felt that I was not being told enough information so I decided to check out some other Dr's available in town. I had an appointment and ultrsound done with a different Dr on March 8. That morning I had an HCG test done which came back around 9,200. After the blood test I proceeded with the ultrasound. The ultrasound technition took a lot more time in explaining to my fiance and I what everything was. She explained and pointed out the gestational and yolk sacs to us. She measured my yolk sac at 6 weeks 2 days. She was not able to locate a fetus in the sac, and no heartbeat was detected. The Dr informed us that I would miscarry in the next 2 weeks, which is not something I was not expecting to hear. He wants me to come back in  2 more weeks for another ultrasound. Wednesday I went back to the Dr to have another HCG test done and my levels only went up 200 (so they were around 9,400). I have read that levels are suapose to double within that time. My question is if there is anyone that has had this problem. This is my first pregnancy so I dont know what to expect and I am soo confused. I have read so many stories on the internet that a lot of the time this happens and eventually a baby is found. Is there any advice someone can please give me?

Thanks everyone. After talking today my fiance and I have decided that we are going to get a second opinion at the University of Iowa hospitals. I hope everything is ok, this is the worst feeling!

I think your hCG should be rising faster.  Not doubling, but not just going up slightly.  I hope that your next blood work and ultrasound show everything is fine.

Hi, Yes 6 weeks maybe a little early to see teh fetal pole.  Give it another week.  Sometimes the dates can be a little off.  AFter your HCG measures over 5000 it will not double every other day.  My RE stopped measuring my HCG after 3000 because it did not make sense and now I am 33 weeks pregnant.  So don't worry, I know its hard but give it another week.  I think your Ob is being a little hasty with their decision about possible miscarriage

Someone else posted about this recently and several people said that it is normal to not see the fetus or hear a heartbeat at 6 weeks. It is just too soon. I don't know anything about the blood levels but I would wait and see what the next ultrasound shows. Good Luck!
