Hey.... btw... No more big O for you!! glad he gave you a steroid shot for the lungs. with all those contractions u have been having..... better safe. sounds like he wants outa there. smile...
Thanks so much ladies!!
OK, We're fine! Yay! Brayden is tucked away in there still but the back pain was labor so they gave me steroid shots for the lungs and another terbutaline shot to stop the labor and watched me all night long! I am softer then what I was and a finger tip dialated. So I am progressing. Now it's to bed to rest because they want him in there at least another week. I swear lastnight must have been a full moon or something because I live in a very small town but yet there was 17 women in there in labor.. ahaha They had me out in the hallway on a gurney.. hehe Boy did I feel secure that no one would see anything they didn't want to see. DH kept saying.. well don't they have a spare room anywhere.. but the hospital was completely full! It was funny, but I never got any sleep at all so I am off to bed!
Thanks again!!
Patty
OMG Patty did Brayden make an early appearance??? Wishing you all the luck in the world... ((HUGS))
gulp..... I wonder>????
Where are you Patty!!!
While it is true that labor will begin after your mucus plug has come out, there is no set time for labor to actually begin. Sometimes labor begins within a few hours and sometimes it can take weeks. You can tell your doctor that you think your mucus plug has come out, but there is no reason to pack your bags up and rush to the maternity ward! Sit back, relax and get some rest until other signs of labor begin. However, if your discharge is bright red or is more than a few tablespoons, you should call your caregiver promptly.
Omg, Patty - how are you doing?? Update us tomorrow & keep that little guy in there a little longer so he can keep 'cooking'. I too second everyone's post that it sounds like you've lost the mucus plug. I too have lots of pain in the va-jay-jay - not fun, is it???
