If youve been on asprin/lovenox/ or heparin?

Hello! so we are now 30 weeks pregnant with a miracle baby! i am on asprin and heparin.. and will have to be induced so that we plan in advance when to stop the blood thinners.. My question is for those of you that have done blood thinners during pregnancy, how soon did you stop the asprin? I believe my dr said we will stop one week before induction (and the heparin 12 hours before). But i'm so worried about stopping the asprin, what if something happens during that week- i develop a clot that could cause stillbirth? it freaks me out! i wish i could be monitored that whole week at all times! For those of you that did this, was everything ok during that time frame after stopping the asprin? (i'll be in the hospital on the monitor by the time the heparin wears off, so not worried about that as much). THanks so much for any and all info! I'd hate to get this far and then something happen!

I am extremely high risk for blood clots. I've already had 4 of them, starting when I was 19. I never took the baby aspirin because I was too worried about harming the baby. I have had two children, one with heparin, one without. There were NO complications. I can't stress enough how high risk I am. I would be more worried about being induced than blood clots.

Thanks!!!  i agree with you... i'm on this combo of medications that FINALLY worked, and i'm just so scared to rock the boat!   Im sure my dr will think i'm crazy, but i will probably ask if there is a way to be monitored that week i stop the asprin just to be safe!!! i dont want to make it this far and then something happen.. but i know that people do this often and things turn out ok.. but still scarey!!! GOOD LUCK!  I'll let you know how it goes with me and what my dr says!

I am not on heperin but I am on the baby asprin.  My OB has not yet told me when to go off of it, and I am worrying a bit about it as well.  I feel like whatever combination of supplements etc. I am on worked this time and terrified to stop anything.  I know Prevatt was on baby asprin, and I believe she told me that she stopped towards end of third trimester.  Her son is beautiful and healthy as can be.  Wishing you well!!!
