Slow rising HCG

My HCG is rising slowly.  It went from 191 on 2/7 to 315 on 2/9 then 722 on 2/14.  I have another HCG and u/s scheduled for the morning.  I don't even want to go in fear of bad news.  I am 42 and this is my 2nd m/c in 3 months.  I have a 15 year old and 10 year old IVF twins with my first husband.  My current husband and I do not have any children together.  We are doing Follistim, Ovidrel and Progesterone cream.
Does anyone else have any success stories similar to this?
Thanks for your help!

Praying for you guys.  I know God is a healer because He healed my ovaries December, 2006. I had tubal reversal & was told I could only get pregnant by IVF. I am almost 6 weeks pregnant by natural means. God is a healer of all diseases, but you have to truly have faith to believe.  Again, I am praying for you guys.  Don't give up.

I am sorry we have some members having a tough time.  I totally understand how you feel right now.  I just wanted to give you some hope.  I had 5 losses, and I too truly did not think I could take anymore.  Something drove me forward...I guess that desire to have a baby was even stronger then I ever knew.  Well, my 6th pregnancy at 40 was the charm and my little boy is the light of my life.  I now look back on it, and although it was soo incredibly hard, he was worth it.  I would do it all again just to have him.  I just had a loss a few months ago as we try for a second.  It's easier in some ways because I have him and I know I will keep going until I no longer conceive.

Hang in there and lots of hugs to you.

OH, and btw...Eirlis's suggestions are right on the mark.  I am booked into the recurrent miscarriage clinic for March 11th.  It's part of a fertility clinic, so we will also be looking at other options.  There is always a way!

I was also tested after multiple losses, I have a clotting disorder.  I am now taking Lovenox, baby aspirin & folic acid.  We were not doing any fertility treatments.  I had a repeat beta today & it's now 1783, still on the low side for 6 weeks but increasing so I am hopeful.

If this pregnancy fails, ask your doctor for FULL recurrent pregnancy loss testing (should include chromosome testing for both you and your spouse, autoimmune testing, thrombophilia testing, and a hysteroscopy to check for fibroids). I went through 5 miscarriages and finally switched RE's to get the testing done. It turned out that I have a blood clotting disorder (up to 50% of habitual aborters have this) and I had fibroids.

Now, with the fibroids removed and anticoagulation therapy of baby aspirin and lovenox injections, I'm finally 16 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy.

Best of luck to you and don't give up hope!!

God works in mysterious ways, sometimes its not fair and we want to scream and cry..
My husband is dying.. Id rather God cut my leg off.
I pray that you are able to give your husband the blessings he and you so desire..
I pray mine is a baby girl and my husband can hear the first cry..  Heart beat.. Even from heaven..

My HCG level on Wednesday was 1,905.  It was up 700 points in 4 days.  I get a repeat HCG and u/s this coming Monday.  I will be 7w1d (I think), so I should see if fetal pole with a heartbeat if there is to be one.  This will be the deciding tests.  I am not too optimistic.
We didn't follow my HCGs last time (November) but at 7weeks we had a sac but not fetal pole, so I am fearful that it will happen again.
Did you do any inftertility meds?
Good luck to you!  Keep me possted.

I am having some issues with low betas also.  If you saw a sac, I would wait & have a repeat beta & u/s to be sure.  My first beta was 224 @ 16dpo, second beta only 489 @ 25dpo.  At my u/s (5wks 2days) we saw 2 fetal sacs but with the numbers being so low I am scared.  Dr is doing a repeat draw on Monday & repeat u/s Wednesday & he said not to give up just yet.

So sorry to read your news. It is hard. You sound like you have a good attitude and will find a route to having the family of your dreams.

Take care.

Well, my HCG only went up 500 points in 4 days.  There is a fetal sac and it is appropriate for dates (5 weeks).  My RE wants me to stop my progesterone and m/c.  I wanted to hold out for a little bit longer, so she agreed to have me re-draw a HCG on Tuesday.  I don't know.  It may just be easier to do what she suggests and start again.  This will be my 4th miscarriage.  I am not sure how much more I can go through, yet I don't want to stop and not have a child.

I'm sorry I haven't been in your position (apart from the miscarriage bit) but wanted to say I'm sorry you are going through this. Take care in the horrible waiting period.
