You are only measuring a little more than a week behind. As long as everything else with the baby and placenta look good I would try not to worry too much. At this point all babies grow at different rates. I have been a week behind almost my whole pregnancy, and my Dr. said she is not concerned unless growth slows and baby begins measuring 2 weeks behind. Do you have another scan scheduled in a few weeks? Good luck!
Mine fluctuates too...about a week is normal give or take...they hit growth spirts and lulls too...thats why the most accurate measurements are around 8w
Not a big deal at all. I had things like that all through my pregnancy. Measuing behind a week, then next ultrasound measuring ahead a bit. Ultrasound for dating purposes is really only reliable the first trimester. After that these babies grow at their own speed just as they will as small children.
I remember one ultrasound I had...I believe it was the 20 week anatomy scan. The head was measuring 20 weeks, the abdomen 19 weeks, length 21 weeks, etc. etc. I thought it so odd, but my Dr. told me completely and utterly normal. And he is now a completely and totally normal 2 year old.
Congrats on your pregnancy, wish you all the best!
