The first week is the hardest and in the hospital they quickly make you get out that bed its no joke it will be a like difficult but just the first two weeks just stay on top of your meds and stay active. I'm going for c section number two I'm nervous as well good luck

I have had two c-section. My first was a little tougher than my second. So I think recovery depends on pregnancy. The hospital with help you stand up relatively quickly after section. My advice would be keep moving slowly. Be sure to take care of yourself when you come home, even if you hire a postpartum doula if you don't have family around. I'll be hiring a postpartum doula for support this time around.

I had the spinal shot they give you to numb you during the c-section when I was having surgery. It numbs you so you don't feel anything. My sister had an emergency c-section with my nephew. She recovered pretty quick and she was walking that day. She has a high pain tolerance too.

If you've ever had surgery then the pain is like that, hard to stand up straight, laugh, cough etc for a few weeks but I was up and walking around in 4 hours... are you having a Csection?
