I think it's highly individual. I personally don't like heavily gendered baby things and people will go nuts with blue or pink no matter what you tell them you prefer. Plus I wouldn't want to seem like I was making demands regarding gifts that are generous and only coming from a place of excitement. They don't need to know, and we won't tell them we knew ahead of time - I don't see where anyone misses out on anything.

I never understand the point of finding out and not telling people honestly. My brother did the same thing and thought itd be a great surprise for us but I just found it rude. Lol but each to their own i guess. I found out with my first but am waiting till birth for this one its been so hard but im 37 weeks now so not long to go. Best wishes.

I'm eager to find out, although we won't tell anyone else. I always thought I'd want a surprise but after taking 2 years and a lot of work to get here (7 weeks 5 days), I don't need any more unknowns than life already gives me! :)

I like a surprise personally. Once u know, everything is so prepared and planned with 20weeks to go still. Moody is just pregnancy. You are being selfless while your baby is growing so everything about you is changing and most things around you aren't. It can be really crappy at times but the end result is the BEST thing ever!!! Good luck.

It means that your hormones are changing. But I understand how anxious it can be waiting for the gender...
