I've had three C-sections and my best advice is to stay on top of your pain, even if its not feeling too bad take your pain meds. Also get up a move as soon as you can. The sooner you're up walking the faster you'll feel better. I'm not talking anything long, just a few steps to begin.

I had a c section at 7pm at night, and was up and walking by midnight. I had no trouble at all recovering, no infection or anything else.  I did use pain control for several days, but not much there either.  I wore loose comfortable clothing, took my time in getting anywhere and listened to my body.  No trouble at all.

Congrats on your pregnancy, and all the best.

^^ very true... I had a csection at 17 also and it was not as bad as everyone who hadn't had one told me lol ... My sister told me as soon as I can feel my legs get up and she was right... I was up and moving as much as possible and it really helped... Another thing . Try to find a spandex shirt almost like a girdle... It will help the pain and helps make you feel not so cut open lol sometimes the hospital will give you one depending on where you go ...

It is a longer recovery but I was surprised how fast I bounced back. The day of the surgery is the worst... But once you get out of bed and start walking it gets much better. You may not feel like doing it but you heal faster. You do have to stay in the hospital longer.
