Yes, this is very normal. The big mucousy blood clots are residuals from afterbirth.   It happened to me after I had my son.  Are you anemic by chance?  I was during my 1st pregnancy, and I had to take 2 iron supplements daily.  I would sometimes feel dizzy.  I know anemia can cause dizzy like symptoms.  I thought I would never stop bleeding, but miracuously it does cease around the 6wk mark, just in time to go to your post partum follow up exam.  Of course any concerns you have please call your doctors office just for the assurance.

Hi,

The mucousy blood is normal in the first weeks (up to 6 weeks, but mostly in first few weeks) after delivery.  If you are feeling dizzy you should rest more, and make sure you are drinking plenty.

The amount of blood shouldn't be more than in a heavy period and should be getting less.

How long ago did you have your baby?  If you are concerned you could always call your Obe.
