duphaston

I'm 6 wks pregnant now but experienced some spotting 4 wks ago and brownish discharge 2 days ago. I had a m/c exactly a yr ago and the idea of anothe m/c is haunting me. My question is, is it the correct thing that my doc put me on duphaston twice a day? Is it neccesary?

Hi,

My story is same like yours and i have m/c in july and now am 13wks pregnant and using Duphaston twice a day and everythin is going fine. It would be better to follow dr's instructions.

BTW: i have consulted 2 dr. about Duphaston and both agreed that in my case it is required.

Best of luck dear

I am sorry, I don't know anything about duphaston, but my history is similar to yours.  I have experienced a m/c and we think a chemical pregnancy, and am now 5 1/2 weeks pregnant.  I had a bit of bleeding yesterday.  I am on prometrium, which is a progesterone supplement that apparantly helps the pregnancy stick.  Is duphaston something similar perhaps?  I would assume that if your Dr. wants you on it, its a good idea to take it, but never be afraid to get a second opinion if your uncomfortable.

Good luck to you.
