ajmurf, thanks! Try not to focus on the negative, just focus on the fact that you are having a baby that will change your life for the better and you will cherish forever! It's better for you and baby if you are not stressing, it is a surgery and will require a lot of healing. So go in excited, rather than concerned.
It is definitely a challenge I'm trying to deal with myself. I had a hard time accepting that I would be having a caesarean. I truly believe my baby boy will be great, it is better for both of us to have the surgery. That is what I'm trying to focus on, I will get to hold my baby boy very soon and how that happens is not as important.
If there are any complications, I believe that they will turn out for the good.
Don't worry and congratulations!

I will be right at 39 weeks. I just hope her little legs aren't hurt. I have heard of stories of braces and their legs being stuck by their head for days to weeks just scary!!

I've known since I was 31 weeks that my baby is frank breached. They let time to see if he'll turn, but it is usually much harder to turn when they are frank breached. Frank breached means that your baby is not only head up, but also legs up (feet by the head). My O.B. booked me to have a Caesarean a week before my due date (4 days from now), with noting the fact that if I go into labour sooner, it would have to be an emergency Caesarean. There are women that have delivered babies bum down, but my doctor said that with it being my first and how big my baby is, it is safer to do the Caesarean.

How many weeks will you be when you have your Caesarean? They may be something else going on if you are having it before you are 37 weeks.

My first was emergency c section. I am considered a bit on the high risk side because of bp. My actual due date is Oct 19 so about a week early I am scheduled. Not for the reason of being frank breech. It was just noted on last ultra sound. I know 35 wks is still early and could turn but just things I have heard of frank breech is a little scary.

I thought breech just meant your baby isn't head down. As you probably know, your baby must be head down to be delivered vaginally. What confuses me though is that you've said above that you're having a c-section rather early because of it. I could be wrong but if I'm not mistaken...In most cases, they won't schedule A c-section unless its an absolute must & Doctors also like to wait and see if the baby doesn't make the turn on its own...
