First bout of nausea

Hi -
I'm just over 7 weeks pregnant and have been very concerned because I haven't had ANY pregnancy symptoms.  Well, this afternoon I had to leave a meeting 3 different times to run to the bathroom and get sick.  Is this a normal onset of "morning sickness"?   I just want to feel more assured that its pregnancy related and not a symptom of something else.

Would love your thoughts!

Thank you!

My ultrasound went fairly well - better than i had expected actually.  We saw and heard at heartbeat - 132bpm!

However, the dr said the fetus was measuing about 3-4 days too small and that, along with the bleeding concerned him.  He's give it a 50/50 chance :-(.  I have to wait 2 weeks to see if the growth catches up.

In the meantime, I'll concentrate on the fact we do have a heartbeat & try to stay positive!

Thanks for your responses.  I still can't decided if it was "morning sickness" or something else.  It lasted about 5 hours and i got sick 8 times, but then it ended and quickly as it started.  This AM I woke up and felt fine....

I also started bleeding last night.  I'm not sure what to think about that.  I have miscarried before, and the bleeding was accompanied by painful cramps.  Right now, its just bleeding - not cramps thankfully.

I have an u/s scheduled for this afternoon, so i guess some of my questions will be answered.

It's funny, I was just thinking that today.  Have been so lucky to not get too queasy so far and was wondering why anyone would wish for morning sickness.  I know and understand that they are wanting a sign that everything is going okay; but jeeze, there are so many other symptoms they could wish for that would be so much easier on them.  Bigger boobs, constipation, sore nipples, swollen ankles, constant peeing, etc. :)  My major one is starvation.  I have never been this deep down hungry so often in my life.  Sorry you're so sick now.  They say it helps to never let yourself get too hungry; eat little bits through the day.  Hope you feel better!

That is why I always say be careful what you wish for! We all want to "feel" pregnant and then WHAM we get all day sickness! Sounds like your little bean has settled in and now the fun begins! Try to eat small salty snacks throughout the day that might make you feel a little less sick!

Happy Pregnancy!
