36 weeks small baby

I had my 36 week ultrasound last week on Monday and the baby was small - 4lbs 6ozs. They had me go for 2x weekly ultrasound and nonstress tests. Everything seems okay but anyone else experience this?

It hasnt happened to me but to a friend of mine. She had a c section bc her baby wss too small. 2,3 kg at 37 weeks. She had stopped growing. She is a healthy young lady now, almost 2yo. So dont be afraid! Your baby will be fine.

I had the same thing with my last two babies, but they were all healthy, just in the small percentile. My first joy came out 4 lb 14oz at 38 weeks, and my last boy was 5 lb 13oz at 39 weeks, I had fortnightly ultrasounds as well with both of them to keep an eye on their growth, but they were all fine. Because I am a small person myself they think that I just don't have big babies! Don't worry about it, I think your baby's weight at 36 weeks is quite good compared to what mine weighed at full term!

Try not too worry, that won't help you or baby. Their estimates and weights aren't always correct (like someone said above). Just try not to stress, keep taking care of yourself and I think all will be ok :)

No reason for why he's small...I think that's the concern. :-(

I was told after having a stress test and an extensive us and then being induced that my baby wasn't even 7 pounds and was small yet healthy and they may have given me the wrong date and wanted to push it back three weeks. I was already not able to feel him move for two days or to eat or sleep for four days could barely walk and dilated to three and +1. I begged my midwife to please talk to the dr overseeing her decision to induce me that day. She finally convinced him to trust my judgement. My son was measuring less than 7 pounds and my due date moved from the following day to three more weeks. He was born 11 hours later and he weighed 8.5 pounds.
Concentrate on your instinct. God gave us the ability to just know when something is just not right. Trust your instinct.
