preg. soon after miscarriage

Hi. I am new to the forum. I am 37 and had a miscarriage in early January at 8 weeks, i had one normal period and discovered I am pregnant again in March. I am now 5 weeks. Has anyone gotten pregant a month after a normal period and successfuly had a baby or gotten far into their pregnancy? Looking for reassurance...

I miscarried in Nov. at about 6wks had a AF in Dec. and conceived on New Year's Eve. I'm 11wks and 5 days. and so far, so good!! My ob/gyn said it was fine. He's glad I waited a normal AF. alot of women don't. He said waiting for a reg AF is good to make sure everything is "reset" so try not to worry to much.(even tho I do hehe.) Good luck! I'm in the same situation as you: 39 years old, pregnant in December, miscarriage in January, pregnant in February. Tomorrow I'll be 6 weeks, and I just can't stop worrying that it's going to happen again.  All the best to you

My mom went through the same thing as you forty one years ago...I'm alive and kicking lol
She miscarried in October and got prego with me in Dec.
It's very common to get pregnant right away after a miscarriage because everything is so open. Some doctors even encourage women to try again right away.
Just because you lose one it doesn't mean that you will lose another...just ask my mother!
