^ This is true. I did it all and didn’t have baby till 41 weeks guess my body wasn’t ready. But the Raspberry leaf is a uterus toner. Horse breeders also use it for foaling. Generally, raspberry leaf is used to tone the uterine muscles, encourage an easy labour, and prevent/reduce haemorrhaging during and after foaling, as well as assisting in expelling the afterbirth. Same with us. I found this out from a herbalist .

I am on baby #5. There are no real ways to bring it on one speed it up yourself. Only ways to prime yourself. Raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil will help soften your cervix. Regular exercise will help you have an easier and shorter labor.
Sex softens your cervix and causes contractions.
Castor oil gives you the craps and will dehydrate you.
None of it will actually do anything for you if your body isn't already on the verge of labor.

speeding up labour ? or bringing on labour ? I drank raspberry loose leaf tea from 37w and my labour was pretty fast. I went to the hospital at 1am and had my baby at 8.08am.My midwife told me the average time for first time mums to be in labour is 24 hours.
