I'm being induced friday! Can someone tell me what to expect? Besides the labor is there any other pain I have to deal with?

Yes the labor comes fast. I was induced with my second child and the pain hit me hard. Unlike my first where the pain worked it's way up.

Im also being induced friday morning if she hasn't come by then.  My doctor advised depending on the patient every induction is different.  She also said induction always increased you chances for csection.  My friend was just induced in june at 6pm recieved epidural by 7 30 and then had baby at 10!  Gives me something to hope for!   I hope you and baby have an easy and quick delivery!

The pain will come harder and faster than progressing in a regular fashion.  Just prepare yourself for the immediate pain there is no progressing slow when they start the drip.  Ask them to give you the pain meds as soon as they can if u r going that route or know what makes u comfortable whether it be a shower bath or a yoga ball can help.  I was induced with both of mine and no in told me abt the pain of labor coming so fast.
