Well, to be honest, blood test aren't as easy to get wrong as urine tests. They are typically more accurate. But the ER isn't the best place to try to track your pregnancy. They deal with acute situations.
I'm not really sure what is going on with the second test at the ER. Doesn't really make sense since you had another test earlier in the week. So, your best bet is to call your ob/gyn and go ahead and see then again for a confirmatory test. That's really the only way to know. Stranger things have happened that a wrong test in the ER. :>) When was your last period?
Hi there. Sorry for this confusion over pregnancy and I'm sure it is really stressful. So, why did you go to the emergency room? Were you having bleeding and cramping? Women do have miscarriages and still have symptoms after that has begun and even right after because they still have some of the hormones of pregnancy in their system. But I wouldn't just take that doctors word for it. Go back to your regular physician or obstetrics gynecological doctor. That is your next place to go. They can then test your HCG levels and see if they are rising or decreasing which really usually provides an accurate answer. Again, so sorry you are having this happen and that it's even necessary for you to go get checked out by your doctor. But it is. Please know we are thinking of you and await the outcome from your appointment (and they should see you relatively quickly because of this like today or tomorrow). Let us know what happens. hugs
