Pregnant? Positive and Negative test!

Had my period august 22-26 and I think I have 21 day periods. Last Tuesday I took a pregnancy test and it was positive!! Have had bad cramping, back aches, super sore boobs and bloating. I was supposed to start period 13 or 14 but not on it- took another test and it was negative? But no period. Any ideas? Body feels pregnant but second and third test said no.

Got it.  Well, that helps!  A false positive is very rare unless a test wasn't read correctly with it sitting as the biggest reason.  So, there is a good chance a pregnancy occurred.  Unfortunately, with todays super sensitive tests, women know they are pregnant sooner than they used to and sadly, chemical pregnancies can occur. This is a very early miscarriage like the baby never stuck.  I hope that is not the case if you are wanting to be pregnant!  No sign of period still??  It is confusing and I think you can call your doctor about this and they may want to run a blood test?

Still no period but all symptoms! Trying to hold off taking a test! Would love to be pregnant but ultimately just want to know what's going on. Are false negatives common?
They are more common than false positives for sure.  But they usually come about from testing too soon or not using first mornings urine and thing like that.  It sounds like you are or were pregnant but now it may be a question of it sticking.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!  Let me know what happens.  Have you had other kids?  do you know what being pregnant might feel like to you?
I have another child which is what led me to believe I was pregnant because of symptoms!
Well, you are in a good position then to know what it feels like!!  :>)))  I hope it turns out pregnant for you!!!!!
I'm wondering if it's timing- I got the positive late at night but the negatives in the afternoon. Does that have anything to do with it
well, it could.  Timing of testing is helpful but typically it is more early morning with the idea that your pee would be more concentrated with the hormones when you take the test. Had it been a while since you had gone to the bathroom with that later in the evening test?  Try one in the morning first thing!
Yes! It had been a long time with the night one. Still no period
Well, that could be the reason!  Any way to take a morning test upon just waking up??
Still no period but I tried a different test this morning and it said negative. It was a dropper one? So I'm confused about what's going on!
Ugh.  I think you're going to have to have a blood test.  There, as I mentioned, other reasons for why we have a long cycle which is a late period (longer than usual cycle) besides pregnancy.  They can create symptoms that mimic pregnancy.  I hope it is just some fluke and you really are pregnant. But you may need to get a blood test and if it is still negative, discuss what is going on with your doctor especially since you'd like to get pregnant  Let me know what you think!

Hm, that's always confusing!!  Sooo, the first test.  Did you read it right away or let it sit?  They can develop an evaporation line if it sits.
