Pregnant or Not?

I'm so confused. My last real period was May 11th. July 3rd-5th I bled. Some heavy, some light. On the 5th the blood was dark brown/black that was when it stopped. Today I went to doctor and took both a urine test and a blood test. Both were negative. My blood has been sent off to a lab to check further. I am showing the majority signs of pregnancy. My belly feels and is starting to get huge. I am very scared. I thought a positive result would put my mind at ease. I have never been so certain of being pregnant. So I am not sure if its my mind playing tricks on me, or if something is very wrong with me. I do not have insurance so I am having to fork over so much money on trying to figure out. If anyone could please help me. I dont know if I need to keep paying to try to figure it out or just forget about it.

Well based on your last period, you would be 11 weeks pregnant if you are. If this is true, you wouldn't be "huge". In fact you would have very little of a belly at all. Symptoms also don't actually mean you're pregnant. Many women don't have them while pregnant, while others can have them and never be pregnant. I get "pregnancy" symptoms monthly and I know I'm not. The only thing you need done is a beta blood draw. If it is under 5, you're not pregnant.

Huge I guess was the wrong word. =P I feel rather huge. My belly has gotten a little bigger but looks only a little weight gain. My breasts are tender and well... starting to fill my bra more. So its not just like... the hunger, nausea, etc. I have been frantically searching around the web for answers. The doctor I went to said to wait and if in a week to 2 that I have yet started my normal period that I would need to get an ultrasound cause it could be a missed pregnancy. Ive never had pregnancy like symptoms. Or gone a whole month without a period. I appreciate your response though. And will give up the hope of being pregnant.

I wouldn't give it up, but I wouldn't say that's the only thing to cause it. Many women assume these symptoms ONLY mean pregnancy, and it doesn't. It can mean digestive/gastro issues, fertility issues (PCOS is a big one), hormonal imbalance, etc. There are a dozen different things that can cause them. Ultrasound will without a doubt show if you are or not, but a beta blood draw can do the same. hCG HAS to be present in a viable pregnancy, and numbers don't lie. Good luck to you.
