Pregnancy confusion; have i miscarried?

Please help; I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive (4 weeks pregnant).  Two days later, I began bleeding heavily and a digital pregnancy test read negative.  I bled heavily for 5 days and assumed I had miscarried.  A week later I decided (to put my mind at rest) to take another digital test ... this test has just read positive.  I do not understand how I can bleed heavily, have a negative test and then have it read positive a week later.  Can anyone help or has anyone had a similar experience who can tell me the outcome.

Hi,
They say you can't get a false positive, only a false negative. Two things could of happened here: 1. you are pregnant and have had implant bleed which. looks alot but could be normal. I.e.nothing wrong. in that respect id wait till next month and see how you progress e.g. morning sickness/tiredness or 2. You could of miscarried early and the pregnancy hormone is still in your body.so will show up in a test. This is what happened to me,  I miscarried at 3months and when I was.tested it still showed positive due to hormone still being in my body. If you want a baby,  I would consult a dr and find out for sure what has happened,  itl put your mind at rest. I hope you get the result your looking for.  Take care.
