So heres the basics:
im 21, i live with my boyfriend and have been with him for a long time now. recently, i ran into financial trouble and couldnt continue my birth control pill so i have just been super safe in calculating my ovulation with a calendar and what not and i know that its the best type of birth control and not always accurate but it worked since November.
even though i am an adult who pays their own bills, lives on their own and does their own thing, i cant bring myself to talk to my mother about this until im sure.
yesterday, i took 6 home pregnancy tests through the whole day starting in the morning with first morning urine and going all the way through until last night and all 6 were positive so im assuming pregnancy is what ive got going on here considering 6 tests say yes, and i have all the begining symptoms, missed period, fatigue, slight cramping a few weeks ago, mild nausea, and very tender swollen breasts and nipples.
however, im worried that my recent diet change could be affecting this and im worried maybe the fact that i was taking in a lot more protein than normal could have something to do with all 6 tests being positive. just started the atkins diet and everything ive read about for false-positive tests does say excess protein in the urine can cause a home pregnancy test to say positive.
anyone have any thoughts on this or suggestions?
Just a question.....if you can't afford birth control pills why were you guys not careful to use condoms? Those aren't very expensive at all. And your right, the method you were using doesn't work because sometimes women ovulate sooner or later.
