OMG!!

I went to the doctor yesterday and Jayden is head down, way down! And i am 3cm dialated and im only 36 weeks! what can i do to get my cervix to dialate more and get these contractions going?

Well i was 3 cm yesterday and i been walking and me and my husband tried sex last night. I get aches in my back and lower stomach but no contractions. I want to get them going. I am only 36 weeks!

If you are 36 weeks I wouldn't do anything to push labor, full term is 37 and better safe then sorry! I would wait another week before trying, and really your body might do this on its own without you doing anything. All the herbal stuff is more of a wives tale, and plus they don't recommend herbal medication when pregnant, so I would stay away from it. I would go with the natural stuff, walking and sex, try to keep upright and moving and your body will dialate. Good Luck

My dr. has not checked me to see if I have dilated & I am 37&5 when do they usually start?

Well they started checking my cervix 34 weeks and then he checked me at 36 weeks. at 34 my cervix is still closed but at 36 weeks i was 3 cm. i got another appointment monday. But im thinking i may have just had my first contraction. how long does a contraction last?

at 36 weeks you may not want to try anything to induce labor just yet. Let that bun finish cooking. I would recomend at 37 weeks (full term) start walking , having alot of sex and nipple stimulation. Also try bouncing on a exercise ball to try to incourage your cervix to dialate more. Im 39 weeks and only 2 cm dialated so far. Good luck to you and keep us posted on your progress :)
