Birth story induction

I was induced at 40 weeks 2 days. Induced because my doctor would be out of town from that day until 42 weeks and I wanted to have my regular doctor instead of taking my chances with someone else. I was 60% effaced and 1 cm dilated when I went into the hospital, spent the night with an IV and cytotec, started pitocin in the morning. As soon as the pitocin kicked in it was too much for me and I got an epidural which worked wonderfully. I was able to get some rest for about 2 hours but both my blood pressure and baby's heart rate had been dropping throughout the night. Doctor was in more of a hurry to get her out,  I pushed for a half hour and she was born at 1:17 pm.
Not really the birth story I thought I would have, but it was absolutely right for me. Having my own doctor calm me down through the process was needed since I panicked and lost a lot of blood. Typing this it sounds like a scary birth story but baby and I are happy and healthy. She didn't have any issues breastfeeding and after the doctors helped warm her up she was alert and awake.
