Maybe she has some type of Amino acid deficiency, which processes Protein in Everyone's body. And her body doesn't absorb protein correctly, which can lead to a ton of complications, for example Protein in the mother's urine, which is something the Doctor scenes at every appointment (Urine Test).

I eat eggs every single day.

You should truly talk to your Friend about having test done by her Physician. She might have more Amino acid deficiencies than she knows.

Chicken and eggs are great sources of protein and you don't have to worry about eating too much of either during pregnancy. Just make sure both are cooked thoroughly. Eggs can't be left runny.
