13 dpo - Ultra sound results - Should i have seen more? pls read

hello again ladies! i tested positive at 11 dpo. I went to see my OB at 13 dpo to confirm my pregnancy. He did an ultra sound but didnt see much. All he said was that there was no sac visible yet and he measured my uterus lining and said its unsuably thick. And explained it gets thicker after pregnany, i mean of course i knew that it gets thicker during pregnancy for implantation. but i assumed because it was almost 2 weeks since conception i wud have seen a at least a sac. I go in again on Monday 20th July 09. I'll be 22 dpo (3 weeks past ovulation) then. Shud i expect to see a sac then? is it normal that he didnt see a sac at 12 dpo? my doc didnt seem concerned and he said it doesnt mean am not preggy. i know i am, he did another pt that same day and it was pos. i know all babies develop differently, am just wondering what y'all expereinces were or any advice?

At 12dpo I got my positive, and my hormone levels that day were 27. I didn't see anything until around 6 weeks. at 6 1/2 weeks we saw baby and HB!

Wow- way way way too early for a sonogram. A sonogram in a month should show a little jelly bean with a heartbeat.

Many home preg. tests detect the preg. horomone at ~50.  Your numbers are supposed to double every 2-3 days.  You won't see ANYTHING on the ultrasound until your levels have reached ~1700-2000.  Soooo, YOU'RE FINE!  :)  Seeing the thickening of the uterus is the first sign...a good sign...so it sounds like everything is fine!

I don't understand why your doctor would do an ultrasound at 13dpo??  He should realize you won't see anything yet.  At this point, blood drawn to monitor your horomone levels is the best way to ensure things are going well.

:)  CONGRATS!
