17 yr old needing HELP!!! May be pregnant!!!

I am 17 and I was wondering if I could be pregnant. I will supply as much information as I can to help you all to understand my current situation.
I started my last period on January 16, a friday. I began taking my first dose of Aviane on January 18, a sunday.
My docter said Aviane was a low dose pill and I should not depend on it alone to prevent pregnancy. She also said that it would take 3 or 4 months to actually get into my system and start working. Also, I am on another medication for a different problem and she said that the other medication I am on will cause the birth control pill to be even less effective. The pill was not initally for pregnancy prevention but to balance my hormones and see if it would take away my headaches.
My period ended on January 20, after a typical 5 day period with normal bleeding. Even though I am 17 my periods are very regular and occur every 28 days and last for 4 1/2 to 5 days.
My boyfriend (at the time, now ex) and I had un protected sex on January 21, the day after my period. I understand I was being a total idiot so I will get that out of the way now.
I was not worried about being pregnant at all for some reason and did not think about it until a week or so ago. The only reason I started looking into this at all is because my peorid was too far away for pms to begin. Well, in my case pms starts 5 or so days before my period starts.
It started with headaches around Feb. 1, the pain was worse than normal. What followed was some nausea, severe cramps, smell sensitivity, fatigue, slight mood swings, bloating, nipple darkening, and sore breasts. (all symptoms did not start at the same time, rather over a week. The nausea starting around Feb. 3 and the last symptom, the nipple darkening starting Feb 10.
My now ex had and I had un protected sex again on Feb 7. Again, a very stupid mistake. Lecture me if you will. He used the pull out method but I do not believe he made it in time.
I am not even finished with my first month of bc pills so i know they are not really working yet.
I started my period today early in the morning hours and I am 6 days early actually. I am never early or late for my period. And the blood is more of a dark brown than the deep crimson that I am use to. And it seems a bit lighter as well.
I have taken several online test and answered them honestly and they all come back saying that it sounds like I am pregnant and should take a pregnancy test. I have also asked two mothers and they both say that I should take the test and see. I would like to know the opinions of others who may be more knowledgable on this subject.

I am not pregnant. I guess I was just stressing so much that my mind was creating symptoms to fit my fears. I am happy that I will not be having my ex's baby but at the same time, I was kind of wanting a baby. I know that I am too young to raise a child and right now, I am focusing on school and my college plans instead of guys and foolish things. I am also getting into a future teaching type program to see how I will be able to stand the classroom environment from the other side. I want to be a High School English teacher so, I will take all the practice I can get.  Again, thanks for the help. Have a wonderful day.

No problem! I hope all of that info made sense. It was a lot to read and a lot of new jargon.

Anyway, it is past the 16th. Did you get your period or a positive test?

I didn't know about all of that. I was always told to start counting after you stop your period. That clears up a lot of things. Thank you very much.

Yes, I am on topamax for my migranes but my main docter did not say anything about it because it was prescribed by another dr. I am on minocyclin as well. So basically i have two medications working against my birth control. lol I was thinking about NUVARING but my docter didn't mention it when I asked what my options were.

By any chance, that other med. is it Topamax?

Its initially used for seizures and off label use is for migraines. It CAN make BC less effective.  ( I took it for a year)

So, Id' suggest trying another type of BC. AND~ Stress can whack out your period, sometimes you'l have implantation bleeding.

If I were you wait a week and test. if it's neg then you should be ok. The PILL can cause your cycle to be off and it's common to have breakthru bleeding on it especially in the beginning.
I always suggest this but ask your Dr. first. Try NUVARING. It's easy, uncomplicated and other than the weight gain and headaches for me I did fine. (Lemme tell you, my migraines are hormone induced. The pill/all others don't help me and when I was preggo I delt with migraines... it sounds like the opposite is true for you)

The first day of your period is the first day of the cycle. So you count the start of your period as CD1 (Cycle Day 1). When your period ended you were on CD5. When you had sex you were on CD6 and CD23. You would most likely have conceived on or around CD19.

There is only about 24 hours in which you can conceive so it sounds like you missed your ovulation, thus not getting pregnant. It sounds like you have 33 day cycle as well, not 28, and that is completely normal! Not everyone has a 28 day cycle. I have a 32 day cycle personally.. In order to calculate when you'd most likely ovulate, subtract 14 from your cycle length (33). That is how I got that you'd ovulate on or around CD19.

You do NOT ovulate 2 weeks after your period. You ovulate 2 weeks before your period.

Thank you, but I did not mean the 28th day of the cycle... I was meaning the 28th day after my period had stopped. I am not trying to sound so foolish, I am just worried.

I don't think you're pregnant either and agree with the other commenters.

Most women who have a 28 day cycle ovulate between day 12 and 16 (day 14 on average)...you had sex on cycle day 6 (the day after your period) so I don't think that incident could have/would have caused pregnancy BECAUSE sperm lives for three days at most and the egg only lives 24 hours.  Feb. 7 would have been cycle day 23, and normally, that would be too late in the cycle (past ovulation) to result in pregnancy.  TODAY is cycle day 28 for you so your period is right on!!!

I think the 'symptoms' were due to the pill and possible anxiety.

Good luck, and I don't think you are pregnant...

Well anytime you have unprotected sex, pregnancy is a possibility. Having said that, the only thing you can do at this point is take a home pregnancy test. Your menstrual cycle may have been thrown off because of the hormones in the bc and the other medications you're currently on. And the symptoms you mentioned could easily be associated with PMS or pregnancy with the exception of the nipple darkening, which may also be associated with paranoia if this is an unwanted pregnancy. Good luck.
