Wtf is wrong with some women. All the time i see some forum about some woman smoking while pregnant and then i see them say i don't do drugs, i just smoke cigarettes. When has it been ok to smoke cigarettes when your pregnant.
When i see pregnant women smoke it rubs me the wrong way because the innocent babies don't have any say or choice but what can you do? Nothing. Getting all worked up won't change it.
Opinions are like assholes everyone has one lol I smoke I just cut way back way to stressful dangerous for my baby but I have 3 kids they re perfect
I agree! So stupid, my step cousin was pregnant the same time I was with my first and she just casually lit up a smoke and puffed away I couldnt help but ask if she even felt bad at all... I know its ther own baby but putting your child at risk is so disgusting to see. Its defs a drug!
Every women has their own opinion on it. I've smoked for almost 11 years and all throughout my first 2 pregnancies and up until 3 days ago with this one. My oldest is almost 7 and my second is almost 6. Neither of them have any problems. And I'm 25w1d and this baby is growing perfectly. Honestly I don't want to quit at all. Selfish as it may sound I don't. It helps so much with the stress from my other 2 and work and everything at home. Since I was just in the hospital for 2 days though I figured why not I'm already 2 days into. It's only been 3 days but it's a start. And weather it pisses you off to see pregnant women smoke its not ur place to say anything. Worry about yourself and your baby not everyone else's.
Cigarette smoking is an addiction that needs to be treated if they were smokers before becoming pregnant just finding out won't stop them from wanting and craving a cigarette even though I'm sure they know themselves that smoking is bad for the baby thye probably are having a hard time stopping and need help.
Use my logic? Ha! Boy aren't you a smart one....I could careless about the subject It just made me mad for someone to jump to conclusions and judge right off the bat. That's what got on my nerves...no **** smoking is bad did I say its healthy? No I don't believe I did!!!!! I just simply felt that we should encourage one another not judge or bash....but who cares because its clear it isn't going to be that way anyways.
Smoking is a drug because its nicotene and its not ok to smoke but doc say if ur a heavy smoker to not quit cold turkey because of chance child will have withdrawal issues
It's no ok but studies also show now that women who smoke before finding out, by the time they find out the baby is so addicted that it puts to much stress on the baby to quit and will kill it. That's why alot of doctors recommend cutting down but not going cold turkey
Eh, women are too touchy, that's why I have man friends lol. There's always something on here that gets these prego's all hyped up. I'm sure they know that smoking is bad, just like drinking cokes, eating high-fructose corn syrup, and gaining like 80 pounds during pregnancy. But everyone has their faults. Alot of these women are young and simply just don't understand the risk. But it is their choice and they'll have to live with the consequences. I will see posts like that and many many other ones that just make me laugh, but instead of commenting, I just pass on by. Who am I to judge? Why should I get mad over something that someone else does? It's just a need to control others, and we can't, and it s-ucks lol. The best thing to do is to educate and encourage. I totally feel where you are coming from though. My first feelings are to get angry, but it's pointless. It's all been done before. No need to stress over someone else =)
Some doctors will tell them not to quit to just cut back, because in some cases it can put the baby into shock.
And also at texxasbby13 im not trying to be a so called ***** but seriously? Maybe it ain't my business or my kid but seriously if u saw something out of line. You wouldn't intervene? If everyone minded their bussiness. That would be something to worry about, if u think about it.
Ya I get that damn but also babies don't breathe in the womb lol good god. Nvm y'all are so right about it all! I'll back away now :))
Nicotine is a drug founded in cigs. So idk where ur getting ur facts. Alcohol is still a drug and its also legal. And the chemicals found in cigarettes cause stillbirth and have damaging effects on their lungs and brain. im not bashing i didn't name call. Encouraging someone isn't gonna help. They need to quit on their own free will but im just saying.
That just probably aren't educated on the effects of ciggs. I know it's hard to quit bit if they just Pull up you tube you will see how terrible it is. And realize that when you smoke a cig for the baby you are increasing its great beat and suffocating it. when your smoking your baby feels like they are breathing through a small straw. Try it for your self. Grab a small straw and breath through it even for like 30 secs. It's hard
ya i understand that too and im not trying to be rude.,.but every woman has the right to chose what they do and it can bother whoever it wants...the fact that someone would get mad about that is funny to me...i dont think someone should smoke while pregnant but im not gonna be a ***** about it if they choose too either...its not my business or my baby.
I understand where you're coming from dkell. It really bothers me when I see a pregnant woman smoking. I understand that its prob not going to kill their baby, but it def does not give them an advantage either. In my opinion, when your baby is inside of you, that is going to be the easiest time in its entire life for you to protect it completely. When I see posts like that I don't comment because their addiction (and yes I know how hard it is to quit) is not for me to judge.
no they arent drugs or they would be illegal lol.... ive personally never heard of anyones baby dying from smoking a cigarette...i know women who have smoked and had perfectly healthy babies...plus this site is for encouragement...maybe you should kindly encourage them to quit instead of bashing them...every has an opinion and has free will to do as they please. I think it is more annoying than anything tho when people talk about oh can i eat a piece of chocolate or is gonna kill my baby? really? lol
Its not OK obviously but I think I'd rather smoke cigs being pregnant then to do drugs.
