20 week scan

Hello everyone,

I am 21 weeks pregnant n had my 20 week scan recently, when sonographer doing scan baby was not moving, she was trying to move the baby but no movement were there, me and my husband worried about that and asked to sonographer, she told us baby is ok coz we can see the heartbeat.

Was she right or should we arrange another scan?
I am really very worried because it is 21 weeks now and i still dont feel baby movements.

second i wanted to know about the sex of baby, and told about it to the sonographer, she told us that she is not 100% sure but it is looking like a baby boy. Problem is when baby was not moving then how did she know about it?

Please help me, I am very worried about it.

Thank you

maybe baby was sleeping? and sometimes with babys position you may feel nothing. if you have another scan and it has te same result, you may panic more. press on baby with your hand, see if they react. maybe lie flat on bed and you may feel something then. babies have lazy days and active days, if you are still concerned have another  scan

I had to get a lot of ultrasounds during my pregnancy and some of them she would be moving all over the place and others she would be stubborn and not really move at all. If the doctor wasn't concerned than I wouldn't be. Also, if this is your first pregnancy then you might not feel movement for a couple more weeks.

I wouldnt worry too much if there is a heartbeat, you could just have a lazy baby. I am pregnant with twins and one moves constantly and the other barely moves at all. I'm thinking that she is just the relaxed one that sleeps all of the time. The doctor has never seemed concerned about it. If your still worried about it you could call your doctor and ask about it.
