28w appt. today 1cm

So I saw my midwife today and have to see her every week until I have the baby. Personally, I feel great and wish I wasn't on bedrest. I barely get contractions anymore, which is great! I did have a tiny bit of spotting on sunday, but nothing serious. My midwife checked me today, and was very careful as to not disturb anything, and said I was definitely 1cm and she couldn't give me an exact on effacement (last time I was 50%) but she said it's very soft. So she said I just need to stay on bedrest still because you just never know how quickly things can change. With my last pregnancy, I was 1cm at 28 weeks and by 32 weeks was 4cm and they had to stop labor. I was on bedrest as well, so I know things can change quickly. I want baby to stay put as long as possible. She is still breech and that is why I feel like I gasp for air sometimes. Bedrest stinks, but I officially have 2 more months of this! My hubby was able to get me insurance for the rest of this pregnancy, it's a bit pricy, but would be worth it if she decided to come earlier than we expect or if I ended up in the hospital for any reason. Trying to stay positive and just praying for a healthy baby this time.

Sounds good.  You're a trooper, hang in there!  I'm so sorry to hear about your baby boy.  I kind of abandoned the forum after my last baby.  You are in my prayers.  Good luck and God Bless You!

Sounds very promising to me :-)  And since you've 'been there' before, you know the time will pass.  Those are great suggestions Nicmom.  Hang in there lil mama, just be patiently waiting...

Sounds like a good appointment overall!

What could you do on bedrest.... ever tried scrapbooking? Um maybe someone you know has rosetta stone that you could borrow and learn to speak another language. Learn to knit. Have your husband rent all the seasons for a tv show you've never seen before and watch the whole thing. You could practice making fondant flowers for your cakes. Get some onesies and stitch flowers on them for your baby girl. Even better start making those adorable headbands with the huge flowers on them. It's only $3 to make one vs the $20 that stores charge.

Those two months will tick by before you know it!
