3 weeks late, preg symptoms, 2 neg hpts
hi. i'm 21 years old and 3 weeks late for my period tomorrow. i'm having numerous preg symptoms: late period (obviously), tender and extra sensitive breasts (mostly nipples), random back pain, random nausea, increased sensitivity to smell, weight gain, i believe larger breasts, extreme increase in tiredness. i took 2 hpts about a week and a half ago, both with negative results. i was on birth control (the pill, one of them anyway) through the last should be period, and didn't get it, so discontinued just in case, but it was one with a specific side effect of regulating period. clockwork 28 day cycle. so i'm very confused about negative result. testing again with a more sensitve test i ordered online, but i don't know what else to do. any advice or other stories like this and how they turned out? PLEASE HELP ME!
Haha. Yeah, I can understand that. And no we're not really trying. Hence the b/c pills. Still pretty young and in college and all. But i'd secretly love one if it happened. I've heard of women wanting to be so bad that their minds gave them the symptoms. I figured it might be as simple as my mind tricking me and the missed period was what threw it initially. But I've never missed a period, and the latest I had ever been previously was 6 days. *shrugs* We'll see when I go to the doc
Brown spotting could definitely be an infection, but I'd test again with FMU, if it's negative you're probably not pregnant, you'd be almost a month by now and HPT's would pick that up. Are you trying? I know how stressful TTC is, I drove myself and my husband nuts every month haha.
well i did finish off the last pack of b/c through the placebo pills and still no period. had one day of a sort of brownish spotting and that was it. and the day after we had sex with no condom i was started on an antibiotic for an ear infection, but symptoms didn't start till after i finished antibiotic and was 2 or 3 days late on period already
Well if you're three weeks late, and pregnant, a HPT would definitely pick up your HCG by now, unless you had a reallllly low HCG still, which wouldn't be good if it was a pregnancy. I'd call your doctor and ask them about it, but it's probably not pregnancy, maybe an infection causing the delay in period, or suddenly stopping the B/C, but either way you should probably see a doctor. haha, indeed. and yes, definitely a doc. i just found out where the health department out here is yesterday, now just finding time to go and hope i don't have to wait another 3 weeks for an appointment.
