It is possible to birth a breech baby but most doctors won't do it, especially younger doctors, because of lack of experience doing it. The surgery is so much easier and quicker for the doctor (c-section).

I'd try to have baby manually turned and go from there!

I had a breech baby but refused to do the c-section since I actually wanted to experiance the birth of my baby. I don't know but it just seems so much more really when you go through the whole experiance and then get to hold your little one in the end. So worth it. I ended up getting the external version which is where they turn the baby in your stomach. Everyone told me it was going to be painful but they were all liars and it barely hurt at all. That is saying something since I am only 5'5 and was 93 lbs before I got pregnant and 120 (or around there cant really remember) when I gave birth.

You could try asking them for a manual reversion which they try to turn the baby.  Or wait, he may move down at the last minute.  Usually hospitals recommend a c-section but that may not be necessary unless he turns on his own or a reversal works.
Some complication with breech birth is that the baby may have hip displaysia in which case they'll put him on a brace if he does.
Good luck!
