3D&4D Ultrasounds

When is it safe to have 3D or 4D ultrasounds?

I'm not sure why they wait so long but I figure if I have to wait that long then I'd rather just wait the 4 weeks that's left to see for myself lol

Im 14+3 i've already had two or three...they are no different than regular sonos just a diff frequency i believe...i have to get sonos every two weeks at the high risk drs...they flip back and forth btwn 2D & 3D/4D pn each sono...its just the flip of a switch...

My doctor did mine at 21 weeks. I have one of them set as my profile pic :)

That's odd they wont do them until 36 weeks.. as baby is too squished by then to get good pictures.
They recommend doing them here between 27-32 weeks... I live in California. I got one done at 29 weeks and I loveddd them.

I'm not really sure on that... my ultrasound-tech said they won't do those until 36 weeks... I never got one with my son. They are amazing but I liked the element of surprise even more.
