back in july 07 i had a m/c in oct had another one i have a 10 year old and a 6 year old. my drs actual words were that it was a fluke. but i did have lots of test done. i wanted to know. and its your right to have them as well. i had over 18 tubes of blood taken and they check for everything from your thyroids to lupus .it seems to be very common . almost every woman i have talked to either has had a m/c or knows someone who has. my dr was also very unkind . she actually blamed me for the second m/c. she said i told you to wait for 3 months, which we wasnt really trying again but i guess i was very fertile cause it happen after my first period after m/c. and with my first i was crying because just as i went for a urine sample the cup was full of blood. and they started asking me a million of ?s and finally did the vaginal u/s and she just looked at me and said theres nothing there. i just squalled . and she said these things happen and then left me there alone(my husband was at work). that was the worst day of my life. you would think  she would have compassion but she didnt. i still cant believe this happened , and im not sure if ill do it again.

Most doctors won't consider it as a "problem" until you've had 3 or more m/c's becuase miscarriages are so common.  I'm sorry that your doctor is so unkind.  Perhaps it's time to find another doctor, one who is more sympathetic and understanding.  It doesn't matter how expensive the testing is...the doctor isn't the one paying for it..you or your insurance are so they if you request it they should do it.

It's a tough call to make. Should you wait? Should you try again? Is there something wrong? I do know that women who've had many miscarriages do have children. You could always try again and if m/c happens again, find a new doctor or a fertility specialist. That really sucks, hon. I'm so sorry!

I have read and have been told by my doc in the er that there isnt a real medical concern until a woman has mc 3 times.  I was told most doctors will no be concerened with 1 or 2 because mc is very common and depending on how far along you were, if mc early in preg its more then likely just a chromazonal defect and theres nothing that can be done.  But it sounds to me like your doc is beeing very insensitive about it and if you really are concerend maybe you should speak with another doc.  Best of luck!
