how late is too late?

so...I was so set on getting an epidural as soon as I get to the hospital...like I wanted to pain... go figure...but I just finished watching the business of being born....and it changed my mind on so many things..... I still want am epidural, but at the end.... I may change my mind. who knows...but i was wondering how late is too late for an epidural?

At the hospital I'll be delivering at, there isn't a cutoff for the epdidural. I can get it at anytime passed 4 cm all the way up to when I gotta push... Every hospital is different!

I'm not 100% sure but I think that they won't give u an epidural when you pass 4cm dilated cause they want you to be able to feel when it's time to push.
