5 weeks pregnant...first after miscarriage...hormone testing?

My husband and I just found out we are expecting, 5 weeks along, after a miscarriage in December.  We are excited, but I am so extremely worried!!!   I went in this morning for my hormone screening, and will go back Monday for the comparison test.  If you've had any experience with this type of testing, PLEASE share!!!  Thanks, and God bless.

Thank you so much!  I haven't heard today's numbers yet; I'll call and get them right away.  I was 8 weeks with my first MC.  I will be terrified until I'm holding little baby girl or boy in my arms!  So glad all is well with both of you.  Good luck!

I had a MC at 12 weeks, went on birth control (thinking we would wait a while) and never got a period! i ended up pregnant again right away! it was scary, but my Dr put me on progestrone to help the baby implant and my pregnancy was successful, if your number are low there is medication that can help get it up! of course nothing is a garantee, but a lot of women have a MC get pregnant again and carry their babies to term! good luck and i hope the test come back good for you! how far along were you with your first MC I know i was extremely nervous until I got past that point again and into the second trimester!

It's just a waiting game, and it stinks!  They take blood to get the level of hCG, and the numbers should double every 2-3 days.  I'm so sorry for your loss, and it will be hard at first but you'll make it through it all!  I had a missed miscarriage that ended in a D&C, after waiting for AF to come we got pregnant right away and everything is going great, I'm 18 weeks 2 days and still scared!
