6 weeks and no sign on sonogram

Hi there, found out last week that I am pregnant.  My last period was 21  Feb 2010 (and yes I am sure, it was the day I got home from my last trip) and my cycle is usually about 35-37 days.  I have had 7 pregnancy tests between home tests, and urine and blood at the hospital.  According to their usual charts I am 6 weeks approx. But I think since I have long cycles I am probably 5.

Today I had a bit of cramping, which now I think was really bad gas cramps from eating a whole tub of spicy guacamole, but I have had 5 miscarraiges in the last 10 years so I was not taking any chances and headed straight to the ER.  Now my pelvis just hurts from all the vaginal exams.

My HCG test was 1311, earlier in this week was below 100.  They did a pelvic exam and said it was enlarged and my cervix looks fine.  No spotting--nothing.  They did a transvaginal sonogram but couldnt find anything!  So they said everything was inconclusive and they cant tell me anything..it might just be too soon...Which I was good with.
What scares me is everone saying you should see something and all the horror stories of seeing nothing.

My question is should I be worried?  I read that when women have a longer cycle they may not fit the cookie cutter time table of pregnancy.  I have all the symtoms, nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness and enlarged, bloating and the constant urinating.

Any advice is appreciated and any hopeful stories as well.

Thank you for your comment.  I appreciate the support.  I am so worried when I don't have a symptom lately so I am glad you included that little note.  My breast that have been sore for the last couple weeks are not as sore lately, but the nausea is still prevalent, so trying not to worry.  I should have your title-since I live in GA as well.
I have another appt on the 19th, I am just going to hold out and try to stay patient.  I don't want a bunch of sonograms that are going to have me stressed until I see something.  I am just trying to relax and as long as I am not bleeding enjoy this time no matter the outcome.  I am hoping out little one will show itself in a few weeks.

Since you have longer cycles it's almost 99% positive that you are only about 5 weeks along.  With that being the case you wouldn't see much on an ultrasound..at most maybe a gestational sac.  Your HCG looks good and appears to be rising as it should.  You aren't bleeding or cramping.

My cycles are on average 33-35 days.  So I have expereienced this.  There are many women on this forum who have not seen anything at 5-6 weeks even when they have normal 28 day cycles.  But have gone on to have healthy, normal pregnancies.  The fact that you are having all the "classic" signs of pregnancy is good.  While lack of symptoms isn't necessarily something to worry about, the more you have the better your chances of a healthy pregnancy (or so my doc tells me).  Have they scheduled you for a repeate ultrasound in a week or two?  If they haven't I would insist on one.
