6 weeks pregnant & lower back pain?
Im not sure if I posted in the right area so if I not in the right place, please let me know. I am "6 weeks pregnant" according to my last period. I haven't been to a doctor yet, my appointment is July 11th (which, by the way, seems so long to wait!) I posted before about not being able to sleep & not being hungry, but now I have been having a dull lower back pain in the center of my back, & a few times I have had a cramp on my front lower right side. When ever I "google" these problems it always says ectopic pregnancy! Now I am scared half to death & I keep worrying about it.
So first I would like to ask, is it okay to wait & go to the doctor when it just seems so long to wait? & second, is this a normal symptom of pregnancy @ around 6 weeks (the dull lower back pain)? Should I be worried about ectopic pregnancy & call my doctor?

Tinkerbell this topic is almost a year old. When you have a question (especially of this kind) you need to start a new post as this I've might get overlooked and never answered.
Hi, I am not sure if i have an ectopic! I have no stomach pain! I did have about 7 days of very light bleeding that was brown and a dull back ache every now and then. The bleeding has now stopped but my main concern is that my hcg was tested at 61 then 4 days later at only 68, then a week later at 380. I have no idea how far along i could be - could be nearly 8 weeks or could be only 3.5 weeks (as i had a 5 day bleed when my last period was due on March 19th)!!!
Does this sound like ectopic to you???? Can anyone help???

Thanks ladies! No bleeding so I feel like we are okay. I actually feel a lot better today. & I agree w/ avoid google idea!! Thanks again, u guys make me feel at ease :)
im 5wks5days and been to the doc because high risk of m/c but the same with me off and on but they say its all normal inless u have bleeing along with it so ur fine
I also had back pain with this pregnancy early on, some women do, some don't. If the pain is severe, then I would suggest you see your doctor or go to the local ER and as mentioned above, they will perform an US to see if everything is fine.
Google often pulls up alot of interesting information, but also often information which is not much of a help in particular circumstances. I can totally understand, I sometimes do the same.

As for the pain, it can be normal. Generally with an Ectopic you would have severe pain centered on one side of the body, and it's also possible you would get bleeding and such as well. I would call your doctor and see if they have anything sooner and express your concerns. If they refuse, go to the ER and tell them you're pregnant, having one sided pain and say you're concerned it's Ectopic. They should give you an ultrasound and such which will be able to prove where the pregnancy is and is everything is ok.
In the meantime, AVOID GOOGLE. It will do nothing but worry you out of your mind.
