I have three children and with each the doctor wouldn't see me until at least 8 weeks or more. Your apt is less then a month away so I wouldn't worry. & CONGRATS!!!!
I am now 8 weeks. And I have my first Doctor's appointment tomorrow. Did they say why you have to wait so long? To me that seems like a long time. But I am just used to my Doctor and other Doctors are different.
usually you dont have to take an opp till 10 weeks if everything is going smooth with your body if you have pain than you shud worry about it to take an opp, And also i would suggest that not to tell people that your pregnant until you reach atlest 2 or 3 months of your pregnacy, but you can tell the people who are very close to you , but its your wish All the best .
Well I called my doctor to make sure that the appointment was correct . They said they usually try to get the first appointment by 9 weeks (tomorrow I will be 8 weeks) but they didnt have anything available til the 26th. I will be 11 weeks by then. Just seemed like a long time but I guess its ok. It just feel like soooo far away.
It seems pretty normal actually if you are not a high risk pregnancy. My doctor doesn't see women until 8 to 10 weeks. I finally have my first appointment this Friday, and I will be about 7 to 9 weeks (not sure since I have irregular cycles) the doctor is going by my last menstrual so by there books I would be about 9 weeks.
I just saw my Dr. for the first time yesterday and had my first U/S, I'm 10 weeks. There wasn't even any reason for the U/S they said but they did it just to be nice to me so I could take a picture home. :) I go back in 4 more weeks for the Nuchal Ultrasound which is more important than just taking a peek. Although I would have died of nervousness if they hadn't have let me see the wee one and it's heart beat! LOL!
It seems that your timing of 10 or 11 weeks is perfect unless you have some high risk issue or something. It just feels like every minute is a day sometimes while you wait!
:) Congrats!
