Spent 6 hours in E.R. today, 6 weeks pregnant and still very worried.

So i went to the E.R. today b.c. i had pain (contractions feeling), and pressure (TMI i know, but it felt like a tampon hanging out that i had to push out) So anyways, went to E.R. they did pelvic exam, blood work, inserted a catheder for an ultrasound (b.c. im so early they have to fill bladder with water to see uterus). after waiting 2 hours and a switch of a doctor, the doctor came in and said everything looked O.K. for how early i am, but she wanted me to get another Hcg blood test in 2 days, and another ultrasound monday, and to see an o.b. after to discuss all my results. I'm very frightened that they are doing this b.c. they believe somethings wrong. They also said it was too early for them to even really detect the pregnancy. During the ultrasound, i wasn't allowed to watch, or listen since the doctor has to discuss the results, but the tech couldn't find my uterus and when she did, she said it was tilted. Is this dangerous? and should i be a little concerned about more tests? I am still having cramps, but just feels like menstrual cramps, and when i got home i took my temp and had a fever of 99.1. Any suggestions? thanks. I'm just terrified of a miscarriage b.c. we have been TTC, got our positive, and i would be devastated if i had one. I have also been having repeated dreams of a miscarriage. anyone have these dreams then actually have one? thanks

Hm, I really don't want to frighten you, but with my first pregnancy I did have repeated nightmares about m/c and it did happen...But honestly I put myself under so much stress that most likely I caused myself to m/c. Try to think happy thoughts. Its really important.
Nightmares are common in pregnancy with the hormones going through your body, I have had nightmares with this pregnancy and I know plenty of other people who have had nightmares about m/c and everything was fine.
Cramping this early on is normal as long as there is no bleeding, plus at six weeks its really early to see anything anyways especially when you have a tilted uterus. I went in at seven weeks with this pregnancy and all I could see was a dot on the screen.
Maybe have a cool shower to get your temps down; when I overheat myself I get into the shower and keep turning the nozzle down cooler and cooler until I can't stand it any more, and when I get out I usually feel refreshed.

no progesterone, and they did check my hcg, i know that because the ultrasound tech called lab to see what exactly she was looking for according to my levels.

Tilted uteris might be the reason why they could not detect your pregnancy. At this point you really need to relax and follow doctors orders. I know it is hard to relax, but stress can not do you any good. Hopefully everything will turn out to be ok.

Good luck
