9.5 Weeks pregnancy with no Cardiac Movement. Treatment of Uterine TB goig on

Hi
My wife was detected with TB (Tuberculosis) of the uterine in Feb 12 during a laproscopy (to remove her fibroids) and hysteroscopy and has been on medication for almost 6 monhts now, which get over in August. However she conceived during May 2012 earlier this year. Last week she completed 9 weeks, however in her first scan it was revealed that there is no cardiac movement in the sac. This is the second time and earlier the same happened in 2009 during a 5.5 weeks m/C. Now the doc advised a D&C, We are not sure what to do and what is right. She has no symptons of bleeding etc. Will D&C harm her chances of future conception or damage any reproductive organs etc. Cause we really want her to get pregnant on her own. Please advise.

Hi Crstl11/babyin july/ summero87:
Appreciate your comments and thanks. Yes we got the D&C done yesterday and she seems to be ok/recovering. Just crossing our fingers that no infection has been left behind or damamge to the lining and very soon (maybe 2-4 months) she is able to carry on her own (we dont want to get into ivf etc) We really are looking forward to having twins (though she or me has no history in the family) but maybe we are blessed and finish our family once. Thank you once again, and wish you all the very best.

I had a dnc after the baby passed at almost 16 weeks ...I'm currently pregnant again 35 weeks :) there is a risk with everything but dnc are pretty safe ..my Dr told me that dnc's make you more fertile because its stimulating to the reproductive organs ...good luck an I'm sorry your going through this ..its tough :(

I had a D&C in 2009 and now I'm nursing my 14 day old baby. She could conceive after on her own. I chose the D&C cuz I was almost 19wks when my baby had no heart beat and thought if I seen my baby by delivering naturally I wouldn't be able to handle it. But that's just me personally. Gud luck.

Hi Thanks for your comments, and thats exactly we are worried about too - an infection. Cause during the last m/c also which happened on its own, there was an infection left behind. But we are just worried and hope it does cause any harm to other reproductive organs or scarring. As we would want her to conceive on her own in the next few months.

Im really sorry you are going through this. I do believe she has the option to have a natural mc but I also think after a certain time if nothing happens they may still want.to do a d&c so she doesn't have a chance of infection. Please talk yo the doctor about her option.
