I ovulated yesterday and I had sex the day befor and, my period is due in 13days but would I miss that period? Or can I test befor then or do I test after my period should start? I need help!! My cycle is 40days and the first day of my last period was Dec 27th 2007 I put my info in a fertility calculator and I had sex when it said too but now I dont know when I would know if I was pregnant or when to test. If someone could give me some advice I would appreciate it.

Thank you everyone for all your help. I dont know how many of you have read my profile but I have had two miscarriages and so now this wait is going to seem like forever but I will post again and let everyone know what result I get in 2 weeks. thanks again :)

If you Ovulated yesterday on the 22nd...and your due in 13 days...than I would just wait to see if your Period comes. You'll get an accurate answer if you wait 14DPO which would be the day your Period is due...I mean don't get me wrong, technically women have gotten Positive 10DPO, but I never have and I just get heart broken by getting negative results, so I would try and wait to see if your Period comes. The wait is hard but at least you know your test will be way more accurate.
Good Luck!

i did not get a positive test until i was almost a week late for my AF.  The tests kept saying negative til i got a big positive about 6 days after AF was due.  So do not be discouraged if you test too soon.  I also reayy suggest you use a digital test, they are more expensive but there are no guessing games, it says pregnant or not pregnant.

I am in the same boat as you.  I stories are so similar I almost thought that I was reading my own profile until I saw your picture.  I'm also from Atlanta, have 2 kids, divorced, engaged and ttc.  My fiance also took on the father role of my kids, but he too wants his own.  My cycles are 40 days apart and my last AF was Dec. 22nd.  I spotted yesterday and I'm having some mild cramping like my AF is here, but I keep checking and it's not here.  I hope it doesn't come!  I want to be preggo soooo bad.

I would atleast wait until your period is due. I know its hard! At atleast 12dpo you could test. The results may leave you wondering if they are right though?! Good luck to you!

yes it will  make ur period late count 14 days from yesterday and thats ur new period. i know i had a late ovulate which booted my period up 5 days from the original date although i got it 2 days earlier than that date. Are u doing ur calendar on FF it moves the dates for u. mine i believe it said to test 19 days DPO u cant test as early as 12 i think if u would like but u will probably get a BFN .

if you just O'd yesterday you can start testing 10 days after yesterday....I got a BFP 11 DPO and could have sooner I'm sure if I'd have had good tests.

You wont really know until you test! You may get some symptoms but theyre so close to period symptoms its hard to tell. If you get any abnormal symptoms then I would test a couple days before you expect your period to arrive. If negative, test again the day youre supposed to get it (if it didnt come). The most accurate results are the day of or a few days after your missed period. Good luck!
