Who has had a C section?

I'm a ftm and there's a good chance I'll have to have a c section...what is it like? I read in my book it feels like you're being unzipped, can feel some tugging and hear things. My mom says its not that bad, she's had 2 c sections...

Dont let ppl scare you....some ppl handle pain better than others thats just like nat child birth some women will scare you to death everyone is different...i had a csection 8 pm on a monday night and was up at 6am the next morning walking just make yourself get up and move around the longer you let yourself fet stiff the more sore you are but honestly its not bad! Good luck and everything will be fine!

I've had 2 of them. The first few days are tough.  However by the end of the first week I was almost off pain meds. Getting up for the first time really does hurt, I wont lie. But the more you move the better off you are.

I had one with my first, I recovered quickly, as long as you don't baby yourself after, and don't overdo it, you bounce back pretty quickly, I was back to doing almost everything by a week and a half. I'm trying natural this time just because I want to be able to do it, but if I end up in a c-section ill be fine with it!

I had a c-section almost 4 years ago and I am getting ready for my second one in 5 week(34 weeks on tuesday:) if I had to choose I would definatly pick a csection, it was easy and quick! Yes, recovery wise you will have soreness but it's really not that bad!! Good luck with what ever you decide!!

I've had natural vaginal births 2 & 4 years ago and a c-section 4 weeks ago. I have to say that this recovery is terrible, I'm still very sore inside, feel like I've been run over by a truck... I recovered from both of my previous births in less than 2 weeks. I would never ever choose to have a c-section if the option of a vaginal birth was there.

i had a section 10 weeks ago and honestly id do it again if i had the choice. it was so good. you do feel a little tugging but nothing noticable, i nearly fell asleep as i was so tired. the only thing that hurt was when they put the drip lines in!
the next morning they get you up out of bed and yes it hurts but once your up it feels just sore, nothing like being cut open!
within 2 weeks i was back to normal, my bf kept having to remind me i had just had major surgery and just because i felt fine my insides still needed time.

They told me that i need to have a c- section. I changed doctors and now i have a doctor that is willing to help me through a vaginal birth and my fetal specialist agrees that its best to try for a vaginal delivery if i can. They both told me that the recovery for a c- section is going to be painful and long. I fractured my foot and am trying to regain uses of it so they think it will be way to much on me. I agree! Plus i never want to have a c- section  to begin with.  The recovery from a vaginal birth is nothing so I'm going to do my best to get these babies out even though my second twin is side ways. He might fully turn once the first baby is out. Here's  to hoping! Good luck to you and if you do have to have a c- section i hope you have an easy and fast recovery.

Why are they saying you need a c section? I'll be having my third c section sometime this month. I hate them!! I wish I was able to deliver naturally! Hurts like hell and recovery *****!!

i had 2 c-sections, i felt tugging and hear doctors talking and the suction sometimes did hurt because i felt it up to my throat it felt like. they also put these things on the legs to help blood flow keep coming that way you dont get blood clots and they can use stitches or staples. but because im allergic to nickle i have to have stitches for it and i dont mind it because they dont leave that nasty of a scar like staples do but they do have to tie down your arms out to the sides that way they dont cut you if your arms get too close. trust me it sounds scary but its really not. but c-sections to me are very sore and it takes me longer to heal from them and to other women it does not bother them so its 50/50.
