Please Help!! Has anyone had a positive pregnancy test then a negative result next day

So my period is due to start this week Friday the 13Th of Feb.  I took a home pregnancy test Sunday Feb. 8 because I have been feeling really preggers.  That test showed a faint positive line in the test result window so I though I was pregnant for sure.  Well yesterday I picked up another brand of test and re-tested to confirm and that one was negative.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Am I pregnant?  My husband and I would love to be but now we are very confused.

When you use two different brand of tests you run this risk because each test has its own sensitivity. Sounds like you used a really sensitive test the first time around and a not-so-sensitive one the second time.

Also, you'll get a more accurate result closer to Friday. So definitely re-test! You may be pregnant.

i'd personally wait till Friday to test.  First one could have been accurate, and maybe the second one just doesn't pick up low levels.  So test again on Friday!  Good Luck!
