Am I forgetting anything?

Here's the list of things I have done already to prepare for the baby:
1. packed her hospital bag
2. got most of her clothes washed (we didn't was the ones that had tags on them, just in case she comes out a boy. I haven't had an US since week 20).
3. got her crib set up
4. the carseat isn't in the car, but it's by the baby bag so we know we grab it when head to the hospital
5. found a pediatrician
6. already pre-registered at the hospital
7. everything with the insurance company is straightened out (long story)

Things I still need to do:
1. pack my hospital bag
2. get a breast pump (I don't want to purchase one until I know that I am able to breastfeed with the baby getting enough milk, they are quite costly).
3. Charge the camera

Is there anything you ladies can think of that I might need to do before the baby comes or anything? My mind is boggled. I made a list a while ago, but I lost it somewhere. Thanks :)

I'm bringing some money with me so if I end up getting hungry late at night I can send my fiance out for some good food :)

Just fyi about hospitals.  I've never worked at a hospital that didn't have a cafeteria that opened for about an hour or two in the middle of the night (usually 1-3) so third shifters can get food.  But it's open to patients and family too.
Not sure if thats well known or not lol, maybe it's just because I've worked to dang long in hospitals lol.

Make sure you bring snacks for you to the hospital.  Depending what time you have the baby, cafeteria may be closed.  Bring change/ones for the vending machine in case you want a drink.  I also made sure my house was clean from top to bottom.  Who wants to come home to a messy house?

Ya'll are making me jealous, I want WIC now. :)  I make too much to qualify and have private insurance, but my co-pays are ridiculous. I've dropped about $600-700 this month on medical costs, and not even a free breastpump. I was doing okay before I got pregnant, but this kid is gonna bankrupt me lol.

Well it's cheaper for the state.  Formula can cost 20-40 a WEEK depending on your baby's needs.  So thats 80-160+ a MONTH! Instead they could spend $200ish and provide us  with a good pump, bras, ect. And be done (minus consultation of we need help).  Imagine the savings over just six months for the state!!

I'll let you know. My friend said that they will help a lot with stuff because they want you to breastfeed...kinda like they are bribing us to breastfeed lol.

I'm going to look into the bra thing because I only have one maternity or nursing bra, whatever they are called lol. I also heard from my friend that if you strictly breastfeed they will also help buy diapers. I haven't looked into it yet, but I have my next WIC appointment on the 30th and I am going to ask about it.

WIC will give you a free breastpump and they're really good brands too! They will also buy you breastfeeding bras!

Sounds like you have everything in order though. I'm 38 weeks n still don't have my hospital bag packed. I really need to get that done though. Hubby n I have been having financial issues so I still don't have a carseat or a crib matress- but I do have a basinett set up n ready and hubby's mother is going to buy us the carseat n matress next week! Been busy washing and folding cloths. Finally got baby's coming-home outfit picked out. Almost done!

I keep mine painted. They don't normally chip off, but I think it's the polish I am using that is wearing off quickly so I need to change it. I can still reach my toes to paint them, surprisingly, but I have to prop them up to reach them. My fiance has to help me shave my legs. Last time I tried was a week ago and it literally took 10 minutes because I was in the shower and bending over is difficult, so I make him do it lol.

I paint my toes every couple of weeks, despite my huge belly. 33 weeks and it's requiring some crazy contortions (lol) but I'm still getting it done, hope I can keep doing it...but if not, definitely adding that one to my list. Hate when my toes aren't done, that would definitely bother me. :)

I plan on repainting my toes and shaving and making everything look nice and neat probably next week or so. My fiance doesn't see why I want to primp up like that because he says "I'm sure the doctor has seen way worse", but I don't want to be hairy and stuff lol.But I'm going to write that down so I dont forget it :)

IDK about you but one thing that I totally didn't have time for and I wished I would have done sooner, was take "care of myself."  I gave birth exactly a week before my due date and during that week I had planned to get waxed and get a pedicure so I wouldn't look like a mess. Ahhh but that didn't go like planned I ended up showing up like the beast :( that was all I could focus on when I was in the hospital, how hairy my legs were and my nasty un polished toes. I know it sounds really vain but that's what was going through my mind at that moment. Lol

I totally forgot about WIC with the breast pump, I'll have to ask them about it when the baby is born. I feel prepared, but I know there will be something later on that I forgot to put on my list lol.
