Any charting experts out there???

So, I've been charting my temps on fertility friend, and I have a question.  Everyday, my temps have been around 97.53. Today it was 97.27.  I've heard dips can occur right before ovulation, but I'm only on cycle day 10, and I usually don't ovulate until around cycle day 20.  Any other reasons for dips, or is a .3 dip too small to really even concern myself?

I'm not a charting expert, but it looks like a 0.3 degree drop around day 10 is pretty common. I saw some charts that had the dip. Take a look:

Good luck!

That chart was really helpful.  It looks like your temp varied a bit before you ovulated, and then as soon as you ovulated, it jumped up.  I hope mine follows a similar pattern. :-D

No problem at all!!!

When you click on the date to put in your info. for the day, there will be tabs at the top.  If you just click on My Chart, you won't see it.  But once you click on the date to enter your daily info., it will be at the top.  Try it and let me know if you can't find it :)

I'm not seeing that specific button.  Sorry to hassle, but could you explain exactly where it is?  Hmm. . . I'm just not seeing it unfortunately.

You can also monitor your CM to help determine when ovulation is approaching.  The watery and EWCM is the fertile cm, with the EWCM being the most fertile.  I typically start out with watery and then it turns to EWCM.

There is also a tab at the top of your chart that is called Specific.  You just check off anything that they have such as sleep deprived, fever, cramps, backache, just to name a few.  It will be easier for FF to give you a good reading and analysis once you have 1 complete cycle in there.

not an expert, but i did chart for a while.  SOME people tend to have temp dips prior to ovulation, not all.  You know your body better, so if you think that CD 10 is too soon, then it probably is.  Our temps can shift for lots of sleep.  If you went to bed earlier or stayed up later than usual. Slept in, got up early, had sleep deprivation the night before, etc.  I think that .3 is a small dip - I wouldn't worry, but if you are concerned BD any way to be on the safe side. You can check out one of my charts in my photos ( then one where I conceived).  I think I did have a temp dip, and it was small.  Check it out - I can't remember.  Good luck!
