Question??? Read that you shouldnt use scented soaps down there.....

So when i got pregnant hubby read that you shouldnt use scented soaps down there... i didnt really read it but since it took us 6  years with one m/c in 2002 to get pregnant he didnt want to risk it. I have always used Feminine Wash Summers eve unscented, sometimes scented, along with my regular body wash. I have gone these 5 months with out it (summers eve), but i dont know if i can anymore. Not that i stink lol i shower everyday but it just makes me feel cleaner, like ok im clean, im a clean freak i guess...hope you ladies get how i feel. Have you guys heard of such thing?  Do any you use summers eve or any other feminine wash while pregnant? Ok i feel so silly asking this lol Hope eveyone is having a good day!!

I think that the concern is that using it too often can change the Ph balance which in turn can cause infection.  I would just double check with your doc.  It won't directly affect your baby but it could cause other complications is what I've heard.

I'm not sure but I know that when you're pregnant, your scent "down there" changes because of the extra discharge and some women have problems with bladder control. So I think showering everyday should be fine. I do not know about scented soaps. The baby is locked up tight behind the cervix, enclosed in a sterile womb. I highly doubt a fragrance would be cause for alarm. And it definitely wouldn't get to baby except what is absorbed through your skin.

Women dye their hair, use lotions all over their bodies, paint their nails, use makeup... all of that is absorbed by your body and absorbed by the placenta. So if you feel better using Summer's Eve, go for it. I don't think it will do anything.
